Reviews Overview

Most Liked

The coffee at Three Peas in a Pod stands out, earning rave reviews for its quality and flavor. The homemade pies, especially the pork and mint variety, have patrons coming back for more. Many treasure the generous portions offered at reasonable prices, making every meal feel like a steal. Another highlight is the friendly staff, who remember regulars and create an inviting atmosphere. The Sunday roast has been a crowd-pleaser, featuring fresh vegetables and fluffy Yorkshire pudding that draws diners in. Desserts like the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake provide the perfect sweet finish to any meal.

Most Disliked

While many adore Three Peas in a Pod, some patrons mention the lack of toilet facilities on-site, necessitating a short walk to nearby amenities. This could be inconvenient, especially for families or large groups. The café's closing time at 4 PM can also be a challenge for those looking for a late-afternoon snack. Occasionally, the cozy space can feel crowded during peak dining hours, leading to longer wait times for food and service. Moreover, some visitors hope for an extended menu to include more gourmet options, although the existing offerings remain popular and satisfying.

Very cute lunch spot! Had my first pie and mash and it was very nice, the two ladies working there are super sweet, and the atmosphere is just very homely. Would definitely go back!

A lovely like at home cafe, where the service is friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere can be compared to visiting family. I ordered the pork Sunday roast, which came with no less than 9 types of veg cooked with love and a side of cauliflower cheese too. The Yorkshire pudding, that's offered with all roasts not just beef was huge, and a perfect mix of soft and crispy. Your gravy comes on the side full to the brim so you can pour as little or much as you like. It's simplicity at its best, cooking a roast is more about timing and less about processes. I'll definitely be coming back. They also service alcohol and are very generous with their pouring.

Three Peas in a Pod is the kind of café you find yourself returning to without even thinking about it. Warm, welcoming, and utterly unpretentious, it offers that rare combination of genuinely friendly service and food that feels like it's been cooked with care—because it has. The steak sandwich was a standout—properly done, with depth and soul, not just thrown together. The jacket potatoes come loaded with hearty, homemade fillings that taste like something your favourite aunt might serve up, and the prices are refreshingly reasonable for the quality and portions. Highly recommend.

Now I know what a falafel and humous wrap made with love tastes like! Michelle and Chantelle serve food with a friendly smile at this tucked away gem in Surbiton. Cosy and homely with a great lunchtime menu. We had wraps and freshly squeezed orange juice followed by coffee and tea and lots of lovely conversation with the owner and staff. This is a great place to make your regular lunchtime spot because you WILL get great customer service here. You won't be 'just another customer'. They'll remember you and connect and make you feel wanted. Please note there is no toilet on premises (although there's one around the corner at the local YCMCA) and the café closes at around 4pm.

This is not sponsored or an ad in any way, but: Absolutely cannot rate this place highly enough; went here with my parents for paninis for lunch and it was beautiful. I live down the road and manage a pub and took a chance on the "daily lamb roast" today and have shown photos of my absolutely incredible lunch to all of my regulars and they cannot believe the absolutely insane value for money and fantastic quality of the food delivered to me today. There was a HUGE portion of freshly roasted lamb, 5 different veg all perfectly cooked (cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, green beans and carrots), beautiful home made roast potatoes cooked to perfection and a homemade yorkie, not to mention the absolute VAT of gravy that came with it (the correct amount of gravy), also mint sauce but I'm not a fan personally. The food was absolutely class and probably the best roast I've ever had delivered, even though it was a Tuesday afternoon, I wasn't expecting a lot but for £9.99 it is absolutely worth double that, it's tided me over through my 13 hour bar shift and I will happily order this every week. Stunning. Please don't sleep on this place, their food is made with love and is proper PROPER homemade food and is a proper hidden gem in Surbiton. Cannot recommend this place enough. Can't wait to try other things on their menu ❤️
